What is canoeing in Millau ?
With a canoe (two seats), or a kayak (one seat), you can go down the river, in the heart of the Tarn Gorge, and enjoy a relaxing or sporty day depending on what you want !
Discovering the Tarn Gorge from the water is a unique experience that always leaves unforgettable memories!
For whom? At what age?
The minimum age is 5 years, and you have to know how to swim.
Canoe is very easy to run, that’s why it is an activity accessible to all. Families, groups of friends, schoolkids, etc.
Where is it? When?
The meeting point is at the Rozier. Depending on the chosen route, we will take you to the starting point, or pick you up at the end.
Depending on weather conditions and river levels, activity is doable from early May to late September.
Is it hard?
Some courses have rapids, others are quiet. Depending on your level and whishes, we will advise you on the right route.
How long does it last?
Depending on the route you choose, the activity takes a full day or half a day. It all depends on your desires! Throughout the courses, you can stop for a swim break, picnic, etc. Enjoy it, it's holidays!
What to bring?
You should come with your swimsuit and sneakers, but also sunscreen, spare clothes and a picnic if you plan to make a day trip.
What is there to do around or for those who do not practice ?
The Tarn Gorge can also be explored by foot and by bike.
Also many typical villages to visit : le Rozier, Mostuejouls, Liaucous...
