Via ferrata in Millau

AMAZING VIA FERRATA !
Great first experience. Amazing landscape, very good quality for the equipment. This via ferrata is doable for beginners, and there are harder routes for experimented persons.
Our guide (Hugo) is really professional, we had a really good time thanks to him, with informations about the surroundings and even local good plans. Thank you 👍

What is via ferrata ?

A Via Ferrata is a route that allows you to cross cliffs thanks to special facilities (bars, footbridges, lifeline).
Halfway between hiking and climbing, fun and sporty at the same time, it is a popular activity for families. It appeals to the young and the not-so-young, the fearful and the most sporty and daring.
While safe, following simple rules, you can take height to contemplate the beautiful landscapes that surround you from a new point of view. Perched on the cliffs of the Tarn or Dourbie gorges, you can choose between an easy and a difficult route.
Of military origin in Italy in the Dolomites, it is today a tourist activity that is aimed at the whole family, which offers great and beautiful sensations.

For whom ? At what age ?

The minimum age to go out via ferrata is 8 years old. This is an activity particularly suited for families. The maximum weight is 120 kg.
Beginners or initiates, everyone finds their own way. Indeed, the route separates several times leaving you the choice between the easy, the difficult to the very difficult. The group meets on the common areas and ends together with the zip line.

Where is it ? When ?

Around Millau, two superb via ferrata are wainting for you!
The via ferrata of Liaucous, in the village of the same name, in the Tarn Gorges, 19 km from Millau.
The Via Ferrata of Boffi, on the Causse noir, overlooking the Gorges de La Dourbie, 11 kms from Millau.
Both were designed and built by our company.
The via ferrata of Liaucous is accessible all year round; Boffi is closed from March 15 to May 15 (the nesting period of a protected bird).

Is it hard ? What if I'm dizzy ?

In each of the two via ferrata, the easy route is perfectly suited to the youngest, beginners or people whith vertigo. It has a few sections more or less aerial, but follows many natural turns.
The difficult course requires a good physical condition. Indeed, some sections can be very airy or overflowing. Emotion guaranteed!!

How long does it last ?

The activity is done on a half-day basis. During periods of high heat, we prefer to go out in the morning.

What to bring ?

You must come with sneakers, a sporty and seasonal outfit, as well as a small backpack with water and a snack! We will provide you with all the safety equipment (harness, leashes with absorber, pulley, helmet).

What is there to do around or for those who do not practice ?

Around the sites of via ferrata, you can visit the gorges of the Dourbie, or those of the Tarn and the Jonte, discover caves, make a canoe descent as well as many exceptional hikes. The guide can advise you on this!
Also visit our surrounding section for more information!

What are the obligations/contraindications ?
